The species diversity of freshwater crabs Bangladesh is poorly known. In this study, Acanthopotamon fungosum (Alcock, 1909) and Maydelliathelphusa edentula are reported as new records from Bangladesh. two were identified through morphology molecular phylogeny based on 16S rDNA gene sequences. Herein, diagnostic characters both provided respective to close congeners.
